Pierre Von-Ow

Pierre Von-Ow is a PhD candidate in History of Art. His research focuses primarily on the intersections of arts and sciences in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Britain and the British Empire. His other interests include art historiography, film studies, artists’ biographies, the history of sign languages, and all kinds of individuals who steal images. He received a joint M.A. in art history from the Université Paris 1 – Panthéon-Sorbonne and Columbia University in 2016. He currently works as a research assistant at the Lewis Walpole Library (Farmington, CT), and recently co-edited, with Enrico Camporesi, an anthology of Jean-Claude Lebensztejn’s writings on film (Propos filmiques, Paris, Éditions Macula, 2021).
