Pierre Von-Ow studies British art in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, with particular interest in prints and painted conversation pieces. Pierre holds a joint M.A. in the History of Art from Université Paris 1 – Panthéon-Sorbonne & Columbia University. His first M.A. thesis was on the work of American artist and critical theorist Joseph Grigely about which he curated a retrospective in 2016 at Gandy Gallery, Bratislava. His other interests include historiography, visual and film studies, as well as deaf history. Prior to joining the doctoral program at Yale, Pierre was editorial assistant at Éditions Macula, Paris.
