Isabelle Rivera Gandrung
Isabelle Rivera Gandrung is an aspiring art conservator, pursuing technical art historical research at Yale. As a multi-media installation artist herself, Rivera Gandrung is interested in object-based research with attention to materiality and artisanal knowledge. By receiving mentorship in the History of Art Department, the Yale Peabody Museum, and the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (IPCH), she hopes to deepen her understanding of community and sustainability-minded cultural heritage stewardship, alongside her ability to contribute to inclusive and empathetic scholarship in cultural heritage studies.
Rivera Gandrung is a Cultural Heritage Research and Practice (CHRP) scholar in the Emerging Scholars Initiative within the Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP).
