Aliyah Efotte

Aliyah Efotte’s research interests focus on the intersections of art history and media studies, with a particular emphasis on aesthetic mediality, digitality, and modern and contemporary methods of interpreting alterity. Her work spans continental Africa and Europe, engaging with the temporal nature of “otherness” in racial and queer identities. Aliyah’s interdisciplinary background, blending chemistry, medical humanities, and political affairs, enhances the diverse intellectual perspective she brings to her scholarship.

Aliyah is currently a scholar in the History of Art through the Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) and plans to continue her studies as a doctoral student, ultimately completing a Ph.D. dissertation.
