Kishwar Rizvi’s book, The Transnational Mosque: Architecture and the historical memory in the contemporary Middle East (UNC, 2015 winner of the 2017 CAA Charles Rufus Morey Award) won the Gustav Ranis International Book Prize, awarded annually by the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale.

Her edited collection of essays, Affect, Emotion, and Subjectivity in Early Modern Muslim Empires: New Studies in Ottoman, Safavid, and Mughal Art and Culture (Brill, 2017) was released in October with contributions by Sussan Babaie, Shreve Simpson, Emine Fetvaci, Christiane Gruber, Sylvia Houghteling, Chanchal Dadlani, Sunil Sharma, and Jamal Elias.
