The Yale Eighteenth and Nineteenth-Century Colloquium is pleased to present our inaugural event of the Spring semester, which will take place via Zoom on Thursday, March 3 at 5:30 pm.

Join us for a talk by Professor Carol Armstrong entitled “Between Ekphrasis and the Encyclopedia: Chardin, Diderot and the Muteness of Made Things,” followed by a Q&A period. We expect this event to run for approximately one hour, including discussion.
