Third Year
Nineteenth- and Twentieth-Century Art

Naina Saligram studies nineteenth and twentieth-century European art and philosophy. She is particularly interested in how objects materialize questions about subjectivity, ontology, representation, and time, as well as the historiography of modernism. Before returning to Yale, where she majored in Humanities as an undergraduate, she worked in the department of European Painting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and has also worked on exhibitions and research projects at The Frick Collection and The Barnes Foundation.
