Rebecca Straub received her B.F.A. from the Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan. She then studied garment design and construction at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she worked in the studios of contemporary artists Nick cave and Cheryl Pope. She holds an M.A. in the History of Dress from the Courtauld Institute of Art as well as an M.A. in Humanities and Social Thought from NYU. Her current research interests revolve around photographic technologies that slide between scientific instruments and implements for making art.
