Originally from the Mojave Desert, Lindsay Waggoner Riordan received both her undergraduate and Master’s degree in art history from the University of California at Davis. She is a modernist who focuses on early twentieth-century Russian and Soviet art. Of special interest in her research is the intersection of Orthodoxy and modernism in the material and philosophical production of the period. Lindsay is currently living in California with her husband, two daughters, and cat as she writes her dissertation, “Art and Objectlessness: The Precarity of the Russian Avant-Garde, 1910-1925.”
