Friday, March 28, 2014 - 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Loria 258
190 York Street
The final meeting this semester of the Graduate Writing Workshop will take place on Friday, March 28 at 1:30pm in Loria 258. We will be discussing a text by Meredith Gamer, entitled “Hanged, Quartered, and Drawn: Visual Cultures of the Criminal Body from Tyburn to the Academy,” from her dissertation, “Criminal and Martyr: Art and Religion in Britain’s Early Modern Eighteenth Century.”
About the Workshop:
The Graduate Writing Workshop is a new forum for students to receive critical feedback on work in progress from faculty and peers. Students from any year are welcome to submit work, although preference will be given to those in the dissertation-writing phase. Papers are pre-circulated to students and faculty. During the meeting, the student presenting will give a brief introduction to the work (approx. 10-15 minutes) with the rest of the session devoted to discussion of the paper.
